Moment-based superresolution: Formalism and applications

چکیده

Sensitivity limits are usually determined using the Cram\'er-Rao bound. Recently this approach has been used to obtain ultimate resolution limit for estimation of separation between two incoherent point sources. However, methods that saturate these limits, require full measurement statistics, which can be challenging access. In work, we introduce a simple superresolution protocol estimate thermal sources relies only on average value single accessible observable. We show how optimal observables technique may constructed arbitrary sources, and study their sensitivities when one access spatially resolved intensity measurements (direct imaging) photon counting after spatial mode demultiplexing. For demultiplexing, our method is optimal, i.e. it saturates quantum also investigate impact noise observables, sensitivity scaling with number detected photons smallest resolvable separation. low signals in image plane, demonstrate bound even presence noise.

Weighted Thermodynamic Formalism and Applications

Let (X, T ) and (Y, S) be two subshifts so that Y is a factor of X. For any asymptotically sub-additive potential Φ on X and a = (a, b) ∈ R with a > 0, b ≥ 0, we introduce the notions of a-weighted topological pressure and a-weighted equilibrium state of Φ. We setup the weighted variational principle. In the case that X, Y are full shifts with one-block factor map, we prove the uniqueness and G...

Recent applications of superresolution microscopy in neurobiology.

Chemical synapses in brain are structural differentiations where excitatory or inhibitory signals are vectorially transmitted between two neurons. Excitatory synapses occur mostly on dendritic spines, submicron sized protrusions of the neuronal dendritic arborizations. Axons establish contacts with these tiny specializations purported to be the smallest functional processing units in the centra...

Sar Superresolution Change Detection for Security Applications

During 2006 the ESA project “Products in Support of the Common Foreign Security Policy”, included into DUE Innovator ESA Programme, has allowed Indra Espacio to demonstrate and consolidate several radar products to be used for change detection applications. These new products (derived symultaneously from ERS and Envisat imagery) have been developed using superresolution techniques and their inn...

A Wavelet-based Interpolation-restoration Method for Superresolution (wavelet Superresolution)*

Superresolution produces high-quality, high-resolution images from a set of degraded, low-resolution images where relative frame-to-frame motions provide different looks at the scene. Superresolution translates data temporal bandwidth into enhanced spatial resolution. If considered together on a reference grid, given low-resolution data are nonuniformly sampled. However, data from each frame ar...

Moment-based Approaches in Image.Part 4: some applications

This last paper of this series provides a survey of the topics the moments have addressed in image processing at large. Our introductive papers dealt with the theoretical expressions of orthogonal and non-orthogonal basis functions [1], with important properties like geometric invariance, robustness to noise or blurring [2] and the computational accuracy and complexity [3]. Here, most of the st...
